 About Me

I have worked in Highways section as a Group Support Assistant since October 1996.  I had been a steward for Unison for 8 years before becoming Convenor. I have held the following posts in the branch – Chair, Vice Chair, Procurement Officer, Labour Link Co-ordinator, Health & Safety Officer. I have also been a steward in two other unions and held various officer posts. 

I am also a member of the Consultation Strategy Group, Corporate Consultation and the branch negotiating team involved in discussions with the employers about the budget, job evaluation and Single Status.

I also represent the branch at regional level, being a member of the West Midlands Local Government Committee, Regional Council and have represented the branch at National Delegate Conference and National Local Government Conferences. I also Chair the Regional Labour Link Committee and represent the West Midlands on the National Labour Link Committee.
