24/02/11 – Local Government Employers (LGE) Say No To A Pay Increase for NJC Workers in 2011/12
The employers have stated there will be no pay increase for NJC workers this year and no compsensatory £250 for those earning less than £21,000 as promised by the Chancellor in the 2010 budget. The Trade Union Side Secretaries have requested an urgent meeting of the NJC Executive and a full NJC meeting. The employers have agreed to organise this as quickly as possible.

The 2011-2012 NJC pay claim was lodged with the Local Government Employers at the NJC AGM on 13 October.
The headline claim is:
An increase of at least £250 on all salaries and spinal column points for 2011/12 and a joint review of employment condition proposals tabled by the trade unions in 2008/9.
