Branch Secretary

Amber Robinson

I’m Amber Robinson, Branch Secretary with strategic responsibility for Resources & Customer Service Directorate, City Director and Public Health.

I am proud and honoured to be the first woman elected Branch Secretary for this branch. Previously I held the Convenorship for the People Directorate and before that was a workplace rep.

A lot of your will already know me or have seen me in and around workplaces. I always believe it is key to be out and about and I enjoy meeting different members and establishing any issues that Unison can help and support with.

As this is my first year as Branch Secretary, my priority will be getting out to meet members in as many workplaces as I can. I believe that communication is the key and as a Branch Secretary, I will ensure I will be here to listen to your views on things that could improve with the employer but also with the branch.

I hope to meet as many of you as I can and if you don’t see me around please give me a call to have a chat. Also, if you are sat there thinking I’m sure that union know this information, please don’t take it for granted that we do. I would rather 1000 people told me the same thing than not know about something that perhaps I could support members with.

I am looking forward to my first year. We have an excellent team of convenors, officers and reps that all support each other. If you would like to become more involved in the branch or indeed are not sure about something, please get in contact.

  1. Lovely to see someone so positive about the Union – also think she is great but I might be biased as I am her Mother!

  2. Uncle Vernon and Auntie Avril are very proud of you!
